greenJoe believes global warming is only the most important of several reasons we must learn to walk on the earth more gently. In his past, he led a very fruitful but ungreen life as a silicon valley software exec until 1997, and he still has a few frequent flier miles left from those days as remnants of that insanity. For the last 10 years he has co-founded or assisted in the evolution of several startups (e.g., ePlanning, m8, Green Thumb Holdings, LLC) and non-profits (e.g., EARN, Leadership High School), and now specializes in helping green entrepreneurs realize their visions. He runs Green Thumb Holdings, which recycles old, wasteful homes into stylish, healthy, and efficient homes in the Coachella Valley — all while keeping them affordable! An unapologetic native San Franciscan, he still lives in San Francisco with his partner of 18 years — he keeps saying they met in high school, but we don’t believe him!
